Katoomba- Blue Mountains.

Katoomba, which is situated in the Blue Mountains (only 1.5 hours away from Sydney) is a great attraction site that is a MUST on any tourists to do list. It has a number of activities and sight seeings that can consume a whole day such as:
  • The Scenic railway- steepest railway incline in the world which takes you into a hidden valley and is now one of the most popular man-made tourist attractions in Australia. The 415 metre descent will lead you through a cliff-side tunnel into ancient rainforest. From there you are free to explore the Scenic Walkway which will guide you through the forest to the Scenic Cableway platform.

  • Scenic Cableway- Also called the "sceneiscender" is the steepest aerial cable car in Australia takes you on a 545 metre ride into the World Heritage Listed rainforest of the Jamison Valley.

  • Scenic walkway - allows you to experience walking on air in the Skyway -the world’s first cablecar with an Electro-sceni glass floor. As you ride across the valley, part of the floor becomes transparent under your feet, allowing you to see the valley nearly 300 metres below from an extraordinary perspective! The 720 metre journey takes you above ancient ravines and dazzling waterfalls. It also has a 360 degree bird’s eye view takes in the Three Sisters, Katoomba Falls, Mount Solitary and the never ending expanse of the Jamison Valley.

  • Three sisters - is a rock formation towering over Jamison Valley. A great site to check as it has links with the Australian-Aboriginal Legend.
